• Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Roll out puff pastry and cut in ½ lengthwise
  • Work sausage into two long logs, the length of puff pastry. 
  • Place one sausage log in center of one of the puff pastries and spoon apple butter along the sausage. 
  • Fold the pastry over sausage and jam, making a crease close to sausage to push out air bubbles. 
  • Cut excess pastry from fold, leaving ¼-½ inches. Crimp with fork (as you would a pie). Repeat with other half of the pastry.
  • Brush with egg wash and cut sausage rolls into 2 inch pieces and place on greased baking sheet.
  • Optional: Sprinkle with your favorite toppings like poppyseed, celery seed or everything bagel seasoning or flake salt.
  • Bake 20-30 minutes until golden brown and sausage is cooked through. 
  • Enjoy on their own or dipped in some warm maple syrup!
