THANKSGIVING SAUSAGE STUFFING
Spice up your traditional stuffing recipe with our ground breakfast sausage 🔥 - made with all natural pork, chile flake, maple syrup, and fresh herbs!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb Lottie’s Everyday Sausage
- 1 yellow onion, small diced
- 2 celery stalks, small diced
- 1 sourdough loaf, preferably stale cut into chunks (or lightly toasted chunks)
- 1 cup shredded gouda cheese
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups chicken stock
- Pinch of salt and pepper to taste
- (Optional: 2 carrots, small diced)
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease (we prefer butter) a 9x13 baking dish
- Cook one pound of Lottie’s 'Everyday' Sausage on medium-high heat until brown and set aside in large bowl to cool
- In the same pan, saute onions, celery and carrots (season lightly with salt) on medium heat until tender
- In a small bowl, beat eggs and add stock and set aside
- Add sautéed veggies to browned sausage and mix in bread and shredded cheese. Pour half the egg mixture in and toss.
- Place in baking dish and pour rest of egg mixture over stuffing
- Cover and bake for ~ 40-50 minutes
