Lottie's Calabrian Sausage Lasagna Soup Dumplings

CALABRIAN | Sausage Lasagna Soup Dumplings

cozy, spicy, savory soup dumplings made with our fave calabrian sausage —it’s lasagna meets soup dumplings in the best way.

INGREDIENTS

Meat Mixture: 

  • 1 lb of Lottie’s Ground Calabrian Pork Sausage 
  • 1 lb of finely chopped cabbage
  • 3 green onions finely chopped 
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger finely chopped 
  • 4-5 mushrooms finely chopped 
  • 2 tbs soy sauce 
  • 1-2 tbs hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbs mirin
  • 2 tbs sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper 

Other:

  • Sesame seeds 
  • Green onion 
  • Garlic chili crunch
  • Wonton wrapper 

DIRECTIONS

  • Square wonton wrapper, add meat mixture and repeat until you run out of the meat mix and the top layer is a wonton sheet. 
  • We put each of the mini Le creuset into the large one, then poured 4 cups of water into the large dutch oven. We brought that water to a boil and let the soup dumplings steam for a few minutes, then took the Le Cresuet off the stove and popped it into the oven at 375° for 25 minutes. 
  • After 25 minutes we took them out, topped each soup dumpling with green onion, sesame seeds, and garlic chili crunch
