Denver Business Journal: Denver meat company lands in Target stores across the West
Just two years after launching a business, Cassie and Chelsey Maschhoff's sausage has made it onto the national stage.
Lottie's Meats, a Denver-based company founded by the sisters in 2024, will have its products on Target shelves at 250 stores across the western United States by Monday, the company said.
"We are so grateful that we are able to be a brand that you can shop us at a farmers market, on a menu, in your favorite independent retailer," Cassie Maschhoff said, "so we're excited to see what our small brand can do at a place like Target."
In 2025, the company began expanding into markets in Northern and Southern California, which they identified as sharing a similar customer base. In the fall, Target reached out to Lottie's as the chain tries to add more healthier and premium items to its grocery section.
Lottie's products started reaching the shelves of 200 Target stores on the West Coast in late April and early May. Target decided to expand the products to stores in Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska, bringing the total number of stores to 250. The rollout in those stores will occur over the weekend.
Lottie's currently offers two types of raw ground sausage along with cooked bratwursts and sausage packs. Beyond just sourcing pork from their family's farm, the sisters also use a network of family-owned farms in the Midwest for their supply chain.
